Why are all those little humans dressed up so funny and why are they knocking on Mom’s door?
Don’t you remember last year at this time? The little humans dress up funny and then go around to houses and say, “Trick or Treat.”
Then what happens?
Then the big humans give them candy.
Hey, why can’t we do the same thing?
What do you mean?
We could go to the houses and maybe the big humans would give us treats, too! We could have a real feast with all sorts of treats.
Mom won’t let us go out of the back yard.
Oh, right. Is Mom around now?
Why?
I want a treat.
Happy Halloween, Hemingway and Shakespeare. I hope your mom gives you a treat tonight. Have fun!
Thanks Donna. Mom gave us extra treats and she didn’t even make us dress up in funny stuff so we are very happy!
PlumaBlanca, the working cat says,
What an interesting event, trick or treat…I got extra treats too, and I didna ask for them or even dress up! (unless you count the cardboard box I was playin’ in.) Wonder how often this will happen. Everyday? Yum!
Hey PlumaBlanca, we think trick or treat should be EVERY day! Let’s start a campaign!
PlumaBlanca, the working cat says,
All right! The campaign is on…tricks everyday unless there are LOTS of treats. Hmmm, I am good at knockin’ things off the sales counter at work, that’ll be my first trick today…watch out MoM, you betta get those treats ready!
We think this is going to be fun! We’re both great at knocking stuff off of tables, counters, desks and other things. Bring on the treats!!!!!
