Mom’s Exciting Adventure

Two in bedA couple of weeks ago Mom ran away from home and left us with Uncle Bob.  We spent most of the time sleeping or begging for food.  When Mom got home we asked her to tell us all about her adventure.  Well, we couldn’t believe the pictures she showed us!

Luis and RockyThis is what she called a horse.  We had never heard of a horse before and certainly hadn’t seen one.  This horse’s name is Rocky and he’s calmly standing by his proud Dad.  Mom said Rocky lives on a farm with other horses, kitties, dogs and humans.

Mom said this little critter is Daisy and she’s a miniature horse.  I think she sort of looks like me ‘cuz she has long hair.  Mom didn’t get a picture of her tail so I’m sure mine is prettier.

Copy of P1030312Mom said this was a really big horse who loved to prance.  I wonder if we can learn to prance.  Mom said when I run I already make the same thundering noise the horse made when he ran so I’m sure I can learn to prance.

Mom, you aren’t thinking about getting a horse are you?  We’re not sure there’s room for a horse here.

Besides, we don’t want a horse eating our food!!!!

  1. Oh, Shakespeare and Hemingway, I don’t believe you need to worry about your mommy getting a horse. I’m glad she had a fun day.

  2. Horses are nice, but we agree with you, cats are better. Horses can’t live in the house and sit on a nice, warm, human lap. Kitties Blue at The Cat on My Head are having a giveaway for an appliquéd kitty flag. XO, Lily OLivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  3. I hear horses have big appetites – but they don’t like the same food we kitties do. Even so, I think a horse would take up some of your favorite napping spots, so put your paws down on your human bringing one home anyway.

  4. doodz….havin a ponee at de hoz tho wood bee kinda nice coz when yur mom iz at werk ewe can send de ponee two de store for case goods, toyz N treetz….strap a note two hiz harness N send em on hiz way N hope full lee he comes bak two de rite houz !! Heerz two a yellowtail horse mackerull kinda week oh end !!

  5. I don’t blame you for worrying about having a horse eat all your food up – they eat a LOT more than we do…..and if your Mom thinks cleaning out a litterbox is a mess just WAIT until you’re doing “poop scoop” with a horse!!! HAHAHA

    Hugs, Sam

    1. She doesn’t even like to clean our boxes so she would have to hire someone to clean up after a horse. Then that would mean she would have less money for treats and toys for us. Nope, a horse is just not going to happen in our house! Always wonderful to hear from you, Sammy!!! 🙂

    1. Marty, Mom keeps saying how cute the miniature horses are. We keep saying we’re cuter. We’re going to win!!! Besides, Mom keeps saying how much we cost to take care of so we know she can’t pay for a horse. We think we’re safe. Thanks for your support. 😉

  6. You’re so funny and beautiful too 😀 I’ve only been on a horse a few times. Once one decided to roll in a freshly tilled garden with me on her back…..I had dirt in my nose and teeth cause I had to bail off like a rocket. They’re too tricky for me, but I will say the mini ones are cute.

    1. Thanks for saying we’re beautiful. Mom tells us all the time so it’s nice to hear from others. That way we know Mom isn’t lying. snicker, giggle We kind of laughed (sorry) about your tale about being on the horse who wanted to roll in the dirt. Actually, Mom had the same experience. She was riding a little horse around in a circle at an amusement part and the horse decided he wanted to go under the fence rail so he almost knocked Mom off. I guess you have to get to know horses better. 🙂

Purrs, meows, barks, chirps and human comments are greatly appreciated. We love hearing from our readers.
