Thursday Thoughts

MOM!!!!!!!!!! Really????????????
MOM!!!!!!!!!! Really????????????

First of all, when I’m taking my bath Mom should not come around with that flashy box thing.  What’s the matter with her?  Doesn’t she realize that I need my privacy?  So what if I’m in the middle of the room where Hemingway and everyone else can see me.  Mom should know that Hemingway and I own the house so we can do what we want.  Oh, and she may not realize it fully yet, but we also own her!!!

Secondly,  Mom seems to think that it’s so funny that I’m scared of germs.  Ya’ see………at night I like to sleep on the other pillow up by Mom’s head.  She thinks it’s so cute when she calls it “my piddow” but I tolerate that.  I get all settled and start purring and drift off into dreams of catnip, sunshine, bread, toys, birdies and squirrels.  I’m so content and comfy and then Mom coughs!  I jump up and run out of the room.  Mom even tries to stifle her coughs but I can still hear those germs waiting to fly out into the world…….My World!!!  Mom tries to reassure me that she’s not sick and that it’s just a reaction to one of her medications.  I’m not buying it.  She’s got human germs and I don’t want them.  So, I do what any normal cat would do and I get out of there.  I can still hear her laughing….and coughing….as I run out into the living room.

Cats of the world…….do you run when your human coughs???

Caturday Art……Two Different Worlds

Me and MrCatMom took a picture of me talking to Mr. Outside Cat.  We were having a nice conversation about how awful winter is and Mom came along with her flashy box.  She used a colored pencil effect on this and then “framed me”…MOL!!!

Shakespeare Dreaming

I was having a nice dream about food and Mom crept up on me with that flashy box.  I chose to keep my eyes shut and ignore her!  She used a charcoal effect on this picture and then put a food frame around me.  I think I look rather cute!

Afternoon Visitor

Hemingway and Squirrel

Hey Shakespeare!  If you weren’t taking a nap you could watch this visitor with me.  He thinks he’s all alone while he takes a bath in the big sun puddle outside.  I wonder if I should meow…….

Nobody's here so maybe I should take my bath.

I'll just take care of these furs first.

Just a little more work on my tummy.

Did I hear a meow????

Every Human Needs Multiple Alarm Clocks

So, this is what’s been going on around here lately.  Mom has forced us to learn how to be alarm clocks.

She used to go to work every day and we didn’t have to worry about making sure she got up and fed us.

Then she would come home from the office place and feed us.

It was a nice routine and we basically liked it.  Now that she’s not working and is busy looking for a job, everything got messed up!

I’m in charge of getting her up in the morning.  First I try meowing but she doesn’t always pay attention.  Then I have to try my other tricks.  Knocking things down seems to help, but some days it’s a lot of work to get her up.  We’re just thankful that her brother goes to work really early and he feeds us.  However, we need to get outside and explore!

This is just one example of how I knock things down. I knocked this thing down so many times Mom had to replace it!

I’m in charge of reminding Mom when it’s time to feed us our supper and then also our treats before we go to bed.  The other afternoon Mom and Hemingway were watching a movie and they both fell asleep.  It was almost time for supper so I had to go in there and meow really loud to wake up both of them.  When it’s time for our treats, I have to keep circling the rooms to make sure Mom hasn’t forgotten.  It’s a lot of work for a little orange boy!

Mom! It's time for food. Don't try to ignore me.

We sure have our work cut out for us.  Can’t someone find Mom a job so we can go back to napping?

It's O'Cat Hundred and time to let us outside. Wake up Mom or I'll push those glassy things on the floor. They make a loud sound!

It’s Caturday!

That means Mom was messing with our photos again.

Mom.......you made me all grainy and funny!

Mom.........I'm not sure what you did to me, but I look kind of bumpy!

Oh well, at least Mom had fun.

Enough with the fun!  We want treats!!!

Check out some other Caturday Art while we go hunting for treats.
