Mom has taught us to share our toys…..
……but respect the “right of ownership” when one of us is playing with a certain toy.
Mom has taught us to share all the favorite sleeping spots in the house….
……..but to respect the “right of ownership” when one of us is asleep in one of those favorite spots.
Mom has tried to teach us not to eat each other’s food…
…or try to steal food off Mom’s plate. (She readily admits that she has failed at this when it comes to Hemingway.)
We just figure that’s the way it’s supposed to be in the world.
Imagine our surprise when we both looked outside……
…….and saw this thief eating the bird seed!

Oh dear Mr. Squirrel it appears you’ve been stealing bird seed!! How naughty of you!
He thought he was a flying squirrel. MOL!!!
Hi there, I hve seen that same here, but my mom has difficulties to say no to any animal. She says always when a squirrel eats bird seeds: Oh, that squirrel must be really hungry.
Have a nice day!
Kosmo
Actually, our mom says that, too. She loves all sorts of animals. Have a super day!!!
That sneaky squirrel is not respecting the right of ownership at all! So rude!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
That’s what we thought, Cupcake! Purrs and soft paw pats to you!!
We have evil squirrels that eat the bird seed too. They knock the feeders right outta the tree!
Maybe we should have a talk with the squirrels……….
Great picture of the tree rat … I mean squirrel! 😉
Thanks!
Squirrels are thieves. I wish I could teach my Sammy not to steal from his siblings.
Well…what Mom doesn’t know happens when she’s at work………….
Well, obviously he doesn’t know the rules!
We don’t think he can read the rules. MOL!
MOL..I think Mr Squirrel has a lot to learn..MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 ❤
Mom says we should try and teach Mr. Squirrel. We say no way!
I leave a cat food dish on my porch for any late night kitties in the hood and I think a squirrel has been cozying up to the buffet too. I’ve tried to watch for him but I get too sleepy. You got a great photo there!
Mom was surprised we didn’t jump up in the window to really check out Mr. Squirrel.
Oh that IS surprising…..maybe he’s actually your friend?
Well, Mom says we are friendly to other fur people.
MOL We love squirrels because we have a family of them across the Lane.
Shoko
That’s really cool Shoko. Mom said there used to be a squirrel in our yard that would eat out of her hand. Of course that was long before us!
MOL Yes, I would imagine you two put an end to an squirrel visitation.
Shoko
Not us! We would just make sure Mom wasn’t giving the squirrel OUR treats!
