I should have known I was in for trouble when Mom got home and put my blanket in my carrier. Yes, it was my turn to go the doctor lady’s house. The first thing they did after they let me out of my carrier was weigh me. I now weigh four pounds and four ounces so I’m still growing. Everything checked out just fine and I got the last of my kitten shots. YIPPEEE!!!! Oh, and Mom had them put something called a chip in me. I asked her if it was a pita chip ‘cuz I really love those. I thought if it was a pita chip, they should put it in my mouth ‘cuz that’s the best way to get it in me. She said she would explain later when I wasn’t so wound up. Do I have a key on my back??? It was good to get back home and to know that I don’t have to go back there for a long time now. I’m sure they’re going to miss me! Oh, and while I was in back with the doctor lady, Mom was out front holding the Clinic Kitty whose name is Puff. They said I look just like Puff did when he was a baby.
Mom, Steinbeck and I watched the football game this afternoon and Mom did lots of yelling and cheering. She said Steinbeck has to get used to that if he’s going to be in the same room as her. Then she told me I could do the selfie today since I had a terrible day yesterday. Mom had to take me to see the doctor lady again. It seems my right away was all goopy and swollen. The doctor lady took a good look at it and checked things out and gave Mom eye drops to put in twice a day. I don’t mind those as much as the pills so it’s not too bad. The terrible part of my day happened next! She told the doctor to go ahead and clean and shave around my “pooper popper” area!!!! Can you imagine how embarrassed I was???? Mom said that since I’m kind of “chunky” I have trouble getting everything cleaned ‘cuz I have such long hair. Well, I won’t have problems now! I sure do feel cold drafts now!!!! MOL!!!! However, I’m feeling better and the eye drops are helping and now I get to post my selfie! Please ignore the stupid rose on top of my head. Mom likes purple roses and she thought it would be cute. Mom…….I’m a boy kitty!!!!!
Go check out my other blog friends at:
Mom was taking pictures of the sky outside our home tonight. Here’s what she saw.
I really like this picture after the storm ‘cuz it looks like my fur!
A little later the pinks took over making it look soft.
Then Mom decided to turn the flashy box on us. Mom, I see you through my eye. I tried to cover my face but you were too fast!
Mom, I shut my eyes so you can’t see me!
Hemingway, Shakespeare and Steinbeck all have lots in common. As Steinbeck is growing, I’m seeing more and more of Shakespeare in him. That just gives me confidence that Shakespeare chose this little guy for us.
Shakespeare loved to sleep on top of the computer desk. H always had his feet hanging over the edge and I used to laugh at his “fluffy” toes!
Hemingway takes more of the professor pose on top of the computer desk. H figures he can get my attention if he’s up there.
Now Steinbeck has discovered that this a great place. Notice how is fur is starting to fluff out more? My little one is growing!
Mom says I’m growing up so I can go outside like Hemingway. However, I have to have a leash and harness on. I’m not super into that plan ‘cuz Hemingway gets to go outside “naked”. Still, I’m getting to explore the yard a little.
MOM!!!! What was that noise???? You’ll stay close to me, won’t you??? Don’t let go of the blue thing……please!!!!
Is Hemingway laughing at me ‘cuz I have this blue thing attached to me?
I’m not even paying attention to you. This deck was supposed to be my special place and now you’re out here!
From the Mom: Amazing what a little fresh air can do to a kitten and to a grown cat! Awwww….peace and quiet!!!
We were both hopping around hoping to be the subject matter for the Selfie Blog Hop today. However, Mom decided to do a guest selfie instead. While she was standing outside talking to her nephew, this humming bird came along and wanted his picture taken, so Mom obliged.
If it’s a humming bird, does that mean it doesn’t know any words to songs? I could teach it the song of my people!
Hello Mr. Lamb. Did you have a good day? What did you do? Did you watch me running all over the house, chasing my toys and my big brother? Did you see me carrying bits of paper and my favorite straw? Did you hear the thundering noise I made as I ran……
MOM!!!! We were having a private conversation!! Why did you have to interrupt us with that flashy box?
Maybe if I just close my eyes she’ll go away………..
