Another Milestone

I should have known I was in for trouble when Mom got home and put my blanket in my carrier.  Yes, it was my turn to go the doctor lady’s house.  The first thing they did after they let me out of my carrier was weigh me.  I now weigh four pounds and four ounces so I’m still growing.  Everything checked out just fine and I got the last of my kitten shots.  YIPPEEE!!!!  Oh, and Mom had them put something called a chip in me.  I asked her if it was a pita chip ‘cuz I really love those.  I thought if it was a pita chip, they should put it in my mouth ‘cuz that’s the best way to get it in me.  She said she would explain later when I wasn’t so wound up.  Do I have a key on my back???  It was good to get back home and to know that I don’t have to go back there for a long time now.  I’m sure they’re going to miss me!  Oh, and while I was in back with the doctor lady, Mom was out front holding the Clinic Kitty whose name is Puff.  They said I look just like Puff did when he was a baby.

  1. Well done at the vets Steinbeck – we all have those things put in the back of our necks in case we get stolen and they can get our numbers read at the vets and then we can get found again.

  2. Well done, S. You were very brave (and curious) at the vet’s house. I do think you look like Puff – I think they named the waiting room kitty after Puff from the Dick, Jane, and Sally (and Spot the dog) reading books from when Mom was little. So fun!

    1. They really do. They all start smiling when I come in the door. Of course Mom reminds me that they also love Hemingway ‘cuz he’s so mellow at the vet’s house. (I think she told me that so I wouldn’t get all puffed up and important feeling. 🙂 )
      Tiny purrs…..Steinbeck

  3. Steinbeck, you are going to grow up to be a fine young man. You appear to be mostly unposed by your vet visit. Good for you! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Purrs, meows, barks, chirps and human comments are greatly appreciated. We love hearing from our readers.
