Catty Halloween!

Last year I was just a little kitten and didn’t really understand why all those little humans came knocking at our door, asking for candy.  I even wondered if kitties went door to door asking for catnip.

You were pretty confused……in fact, you still are.

No, I’m a big kitty now and I know lots of stuff so I’ll be brave and maybe even look out the window.

I’ll meet you under the bed.  I don’t think you’ll be able to look out the window.

You mean we’re both going to be scared?

Well, there will be more noise than usual and Mom will constantly be going to the door.  I don’t think we’ll be able to nap comfortably.

I sure hope Mom doesn’t forget to give us our treats!

First of all Mom……you focused on the wood and not on me.  Second of all….what’s with all the wood?  You know how I love to chew on wood and this is way more than I can chew!

I’m going to show you what I plan on doing today.  I’m going to watch football with Mom.  She loves to wave her arms when she’s watching the Vikings so I keep control of the remote.  I’ve also learned not to try and lay on her lap ‘cuz she doesn’t sit still.  However, it’s quality time with Mom.

Steinbeck, what have you done?

Well, I was looking through the puter and everyone was talking about Tocktober days and I decided I could post a Tocktober picture.

You sure did.

I wanted a modest picture so I found this one that Mom had taken.  I think it shows off my fluffy tocks without being too embarrassing.

Sleepy Time Stuff

Mom seems to love to get the flashy box out when we’re trying to sleep.  She has this idea that we get in really cute positions and she wants to remember them.

Mom, can’t you just look at us and keep that memory in a special box in your brain?  I really don’t like the flashy box that much.

This particular time we were just taking a nap on the couch and when Mom spotted us we just knew she was going for the flashy box.

Mom said she had to take the picture to prove to our readers that we really do get along and like each other.

Readers, you already knew that………right?  Mom didn’t have to flashy box us.

Another thing Mom laughs about is all the little noises that I make when I’m sleeping.  She says Hemingway doesn’t do it, but I do.  I sigh and kind of moan and make little sounds like I’m trying to talk in my sleep.

Are you sure you aren’t snoring?

No way!!!  Mom says I’m making cute noises.
