Last year I was just a little kitten and didn’t really understand why all those little humans came knocking at our door, asking for candy. I even wondered if kitties went door to door asking for catnip.
You were pretty confused……in fact, you still are.
No, I’m a big kitty now and I know lots of stuff so I’ll be brave and maybe even look out the window.
I’ll meet you under the bed. I don’t think you’ll be able to look out the window.
You mean we’re both going to be scared?
Well, there will be more noise than usual and Mom will constantly be going to the door. I don’t think we’ll be able to nap comfortably.
I sure hope Mom doesn’t forget to give us our treats!
Readers, we had Mom help us with a couple of Halloween pictures for you to enjoy.
If you look carefully, you can see my fangs!
I went for a calmer, more mosaic look this year.
Hey……Halloween must be for US! Look at the colors……..orange and black…….just like us!!
First of all Mom……you focused on the wood and not on me. Second of all….what’s with all the wood? You know how I love to chew on wood and this is way more than I can chew!
Look! There’s a little hallway here. I have a new hidey spot!!
MOM!!! Don’t let Hemingway see my new hidey spot. Did you just take a picture of it? Are you going to post it on that blogosphere place? Now everyone’s going to know where my new hidey space is!
What hidey spot? I was busy noticing how the leaves seem to match my eyes! Steinbeck….leave that wood alone!
I’m going to show you what I plan on doing today. I’m going to watch football with Mom. She loves to wave her arms when she’s watching the Vikings so I keep control of the remote. I’ve also learned not to try and lay on her lap ‘cuz she doesn’t sit still. However, it’s quality time with Mom.
I hope all of you have a fabulous day. Please visit my other friends at the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by our friends, Kitties Blue.
Mom was laughing at me when I was playing with my carrot. Next thing I knew, I was the Caturday Art star!
I think I make a good poster kitty for the benefits of healthy eating!
Oh, and this is what Mom did to it. She gave me a blue tummy!!!
Have a great Caturday, everyone! Oh, and visit the others at Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop.
Steinbeck, what have you done?
Well, I was looking through the puter and everyone was talking about Tocktober days and I decided I could post a Tocktober picture.
You sure did.
I wanted a modest picture so I found this one that Mom had taken. I think it shows off my fluffy tocks without being too embarrassing.
It’s a good thing your tail is so fluffy.
Mom seems to love to get the flashy box out when we’re trying to sleep. She has this idea that we get in really cute positions and she wants to remember them.
Mom, can’t you just look at us and keep that memory in a special box in your brain? I really don’t like the flashy box that much.
This particular time we were just taking a nap on the couch and when Mom spotted us we just knew she was going for the flashy box.
Mom said she had to take the picture to prove to our readers that we really do get along and like each other.
Readers, you already knew that………right? Mom didn’t have to flashy box us.
Another thing Mom laughs about is all the little noises that I make when I’m sleeping. She says Hemingway doesn’t do it, but I do. I sigh and kind of moan and make little sounds like I’m trying to talk in my sleep.
Are you sure you aren’t snoring?
No way!!! Mom says I’m making cute noises.
Mom!!!! Enough with the flashy box. I’m trying to explain things.
Readers, I’ve heard those noises. I don’t think I would classify them as “cute”. MOL!!!
It’s fall. It’s cool. It’s Sunday. It’s sleepy time.
It’s fall here and that means the leaves are falling! If the leaves stayed on the trees, the season would be stay.
Mom says “stay” to you a lot!
I’m ignoring that. Anyway, Mom let us go out in the fall today and she took our picture.
If you look very carefully, you’ll see me on the ground, under the bush.
Mom took the picture and changed it!
Hemingway, Mom tried to make you orange!!!
But as you see, tuxedos rule!
Here’s my new song that I made up in honor of my new best buddy. Please sing it to the tune of “Me and My Shadow”. Mom taught me that song!
Me and my green bean
Playing through the night and day
Me and my green bean
No one better take him away.
And when it’s time to eat
He hides away
I rush to eat
And then back to play.
Just me and my green bean
We are such a crazy pair!
What????? You’ve never seen a cat with his green bean before????
Remember readers……….I have to live with him!!!
Mom caught us having a discussion about today’s Sunday Selfie.
Hemingway, you know it’s my turn. You always hog the Sunday Selfie.
That’s because I am so regal looking.
Mom………..Steinbeck’s making naughty noises and I didn’t teach him to do it.
You are such a tattle “tail”.
Great! Now Mom went and posted our “discussion”.
