Have you missed us? We’ve been gone a really long time. We’ve been busy playing outside, eating catnip, chasing flying things, watching raindrops on the windows, patiently waiting for our meals, spreading our toys all over the house………
Stop, Hemingway!!! You’re wearing me out. Can’t you just imagine what you’re doing to our readers?
Well, I didn’t want it to seem like it’s all Mom’s fault that we’ve been gone so long.
But it is mostly her fault. It all started when she got older. She couldn’t even stay home when she got older. She had to take one of those road trips and leave us to celebrate her birthday on our own.
But she came back home and she spent some time with us since she took a couple extra days off.
Little did she know that she was going to be spending LOTS of time with us.
Shortly after her birthday, Mom came home a little early from work but she didn’t have a happy face.
We knew right away that something was wrong.
Mom sat us down and explained that her company former company had eliminated her position and she was out of a job. She was really mad at first and really, really hurt. We tried our best to take care of her and cheer her up.
So Mom’s been looking for another job and doing some writing on some book ideas she has. That’s why she hasn’t been able to help us with our blog. We’ve missed our readers.
Steinbeck, Mom figures that God still wants to her to use the skills, talents and abilities that He gave her so she knows He has something for her. In the meantime she said she’s busy jumping through all the hoops for unemployment.
I haven’t seen any hoops lying around at all. Does she keep them in the garage? I might like to jump through hoops. Then again, I might not…….but I should get the chance…..
Steinbeck, sometimes it’s so hard to carry on a conversation with you.
I’m telling Mom that you’re being mean again, Hemingway.
Quit whining and keep looking on the puter for a new job for Mom. Do you think she would like to be a tree trimmer?
Can I ever relate! The exact same thing happened to me at both the Episcopal churches where I worked. Once because the rector about broke the church with his overspending, and once because they needed a person to do a full scale youth program and decided to use my position to pay for it. And churches don’t pay unemployment. I went through the anger thing too, especially the first time. But, as Hemingway said, God had other places that needed my talents, and appreciate me. Try to trust that the exact right job will come your way.You know there is a reason for everything. Blessings to you!
Mom says to be sure and thank you for the kind words. She’s doing good now and we all have our paws crossed that she will find where God wants her. 🙂
What a kick in the teeth to your mom. It was probably time for her to develop her skills elsewhere. New faces, new job….time to venture to something new.
Here’s hoping unemployment doesn’t hang around long.
Jean and Shoko
Mom says to thank you very much. She’s looking and praying and thinking. Someone out there needs her and she just has to find that person.
That’s a bummer that your human’s job got eliminated. 😦 I hope something comes up for her soon.
Thank you, Summer. For now we really enjoy having Mom around more.

Oh we’re so sorry your Mom lost her job…..tree trimming doesn’t sound like fun but how about pet sitting?? Oh wait – – – – she already does that for YOU TWO doesn’t she!!! Seriously though – we send a pile of good luck to your Mom for finding a new job…..I bet she gets one SOON!
Hugs, Teddy
Teddy, you and your mom are so nice. We like having Mom around during the days….even if we do sleep lots. She knows that there is a special job out there, and she really doesn’t think it’s tree trimming. MOL!!!

❤ The right thing will come along……we are SURE!
Thank you. Both you and your mom are very special. ♥
Oh my, I’m sorry to hear that. Be sure to give your mama some extra cuddles in the mean time. I’m sure she’ll find something soon.
Thanks you and don’t worry about the cuddles. We’re giving her lots and lots of them!

Well that’s really not the best news is it? Sorry to hear about your job. When I left a long time job, I looked for jobs that I’d get a lot of joy out of. Garden Center, Flower Shop, Scrapbook Store were all great part time jobs. It’s kind of nice to have days in-between that allow you to do other things around the house or hone a craft you enjoy. Good luck and tummy rubs to the kitties. x Boomdee
Boomdee, Mom really liked your kind words. She’s actually been working on a book idea and of course she’s been spending lots of time with us. She’s also looking for something she’ll enjoy and will give her the chance to learn even more things.

So sorry about the job. Keeping fingers crossed that something BETTER will come along. In the meantime I hope you can enjoy your summer a little.
Something will come……Mom just has to learn to be patient and that’s not something she’s learned yet! MOL!

Jumping through a hoop is overrated. Mom taught me to do it, and for a long time, every single time I wanted a treat – “Jump!” What a bummer about your mom’s job. We hope she finds a new job soon, or that she settles in and does writing a lot and has success with it. Meanwhile, keep smiling, stay positive, and enjoy being together! Don’t count the days – make the days count! #ughmath
Love and licks,

So sorry to hear about your mom’s job. Good thing, she still has her most important work taking care of you. Maybe you kitties could bring in extra income testing cat toys or modeling to help out.
Mom told us to look in the Help Wanted places. We don’t want any help so we haven’t been looking. MOL!!!!
