What are you talking about Hemingway?  And what are those funny letters on my orange furs?

Let me tell you what Mr. Cranky Pants did last night.  When Mom got home from that work place, she opened the door so we could go outside.  She also put food in our dishes so then we had a dilemma.  Go outside or eat?  I think  Mr. Cranky Pants was more interested in going outside, so of course I headed for the food dish.

After supper, when Mom let us both back in the house and closed the door, something happened.

What?

You know what.  You went all crazy whacko on us!!!  You were hissing and spitting and growling and carrying on like an idiot.  I decided to stay away from you, especially after you actually screamed at me!  Mom just stood and stared at you and so did I.

Maybe I got a bad batch of nip.

There’s no excuse for being Mr. Cranky Pants.  Mom didn’t know if she even wanted you sleeping in her room last night, but you finally calmed down.

Maybe I had a bad dream.

You were wide awake.

Well, then it must have been my evil twin!

Well, see to it that you don’t let your evil twin come around here again.

Hemingway, you look so big in this picture!

That’s because you were being lazy and decided to lie down.

Oh.  Next time I’ll sit up so I can look big!

We’re Soooooooooooo Tired

You may not realize it but we’ve both been very busy trying to find Mom a job so we haven’t been in the blogosphere for a long time.

We loved having her home ‘cuz then we got to play outside more.

Don’t tell the doctor lady but she even gave us a little lunch each day!  (We’re both supposed to be on diets….especially Hemingway!)

Steinbeck, what did I tell you about that subject????

I can’t remember.

Likely story.  Anyway, this morning we helped Mom eat her breakfast and make her lunch.  Then we pushed her out the door.

MOM GOT A NEW JOB!!!!

I was going to gently let the readers know…….sigh

I love telling the readers exciting things so I couldn’t wait.  Tell them more about the new job.  I’ll be quiet.

Well, it’s less than ten minutes from home and she doesn’t have to drive on the freeway at all.  Steinbeck……don’t ask about the freeway now.

OK.  What a grouch!

Anyway, she’s on the eight floor of a building that overlooks the Delta hangars (that used to be Northwest where she worked), Ft. Snelling (where her parents are buried), the Mall of America and a busy freeway.  She loves the views that she has from her desk.  She said she’s going to take pictures sometime so we can see.

She said she had pizza today for lunch and then they all had cookies for a celebration in the afternoon.  How come she gets to eat all the time, Hemingway?

‘Cuz she’s the Mom!!  You know that.

At least now we don’t have to worry about her running out of money to buy our food and toys.

We miss having Mom home during the day but she seems really happy to have this job.  She said the people are really nice and she felt very welcome.  Her boss even greeted her with a hug and at the end of the day asked if she was coming back the next day.  MOL!!!

We’re happy for Mom and now we’re going to do more napping during the day so we can play at night when she gets home.

Mom says to thank everyone who prayed, said kind words, and encouraged her.  It all meant lots to her!!

Thursday Thief

Mom’s been busy trying to find a job so she doesn’t always have time to play with us.

That means we have to make our own fun and according to Mom, we’re really good at it.

Here’s one thing that’s kept our attention lately.

It’s a thief!!!

Well, it’s certainly a hungry little critter.

Mom said it’s not nice to steal.  Obviously this squirrel’s mom never mentioned that.
