We think we know why Mom is not a big fan of winter.
Well, we’re not big fans either.
True, but just think what we’ve been through in the past few days. Last week the actual temperature was -30 and the windchill was around -50.
Isn’t most wind chilly? At least in the winter. That’s stupid to measure how chilly the wind is. Humans……..
Anyway, then over the weekend it got warm and things started melting and it even rained.
Not a good plan, Mother Nature.
That’s right. Mom went out to her car on Monday morning and before she knew it, she was kneeling in the driveway and couldn’t get up. All around her was ice covered with water and there was no traction.
We promise we didn’t laugh.
I may have giggled around the cookie jar…….just a little. But I only did that when I knew Mom was okay. Even she admits that she looked kind of funny trying to get up. She told us later that she kind of scooted over the water-covered ice so she could grab hold of her car. Maybe if she had paws instead of feet with shoes on them, she might have been able to get some traction. She got up, looked at us, kind of smiled and headed to work.
Now today the angels are busy dusting and they have feathers and dust flying all over the place. Mom’s view at work got shortened with all that stuff flying around.
They must be working really hard ‘cuz the dust and feathers are flying all over the place. Everywhere we look outside, it’s white. Sometimes we can’t even see across the street.
I bet Mom wishes she had stayed home with us.
By the time Mom got home tonight, this is what it looked like.
Mom……….the angels just dusted up a storm today!!!
Wowzers…the weather sure has been crazy…but the cold you have experienced is just ridiculous. Our actual temps only went down into the teens, but today it was 73 degrees. Whiplash! We are so happy that your mom was not hurt in her fall. That ice is so dangerous. The snow photos, however, are gorgeous. You all stay safe. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
So good to hear from all of you. Mom says this is one of the craziest winters ever. We just shoveled out from yesterday’s snow and now there’s more snow coming tonight and tomorrow. Those angels need to stop dusting!

We’re going to be on the east coast this weekend. It will be raining when we arrive Wednesday night, and then cold on Saturday. My human is keeping her fingers crossed that there is enough time between the rain and the cold to avoid ice mishaps!
Oh, we hope so too! Mom said everything was ice here and now we have snow on top of the ice. Winter can be very dangerous so please be careful.

Those angels have been working too hard!
We agree!!!
Gosh – that’s truly a winter wonderland but NOT the kinda stuff humans like to drive around in (or walk on!). Glad your Mom was OK……Lots of dusting going on where you are that’s for sure!!
Hugs, Teddy
Teddy, we still think Mom should just stay home with us. This is a crazy winter and we’re more than ready for spring.

Wow, we sure are glad your Mom didn’t get hurt ! The same thing happened to our huMom the week before in the big snow and she had to crawl over to some lawn furniture to be able to stand up. Luckily she was able to get in before our suppertime !
That’s why we think humans should just stay inside with us. Glad your Mom is ok, too!

We hope your Mom’s knees are ok. Didn’t she get her pants all wet crawling around on the water and ice? Anyhoo,we promise it wasn’t our Angel Lexi dusting anything. She was rather anti-cleaning.
Oh, we know it wasn’t Lexi and it wasn’t Shakespeare either, but there are some angels who have been really busy lately. Yes, Mom did get wet so she had wet knees at work. MOL!!!
