Baby Pictures

Steinbeck, do you see what Mom is doing with our blog?

No…….I haven’t been watching her.  I’m trying to figure out if any of these windows will open enough so I can sneak outside.

Forget about sneaking outside.  Mom already told us we’re not going outside since she got home late tonight.  Now check out what she’s doing!!!!

Hemingway with Cookbook April 2010

I was trying to help Mom pick out something to make for supper.

PatientPhoto

Oh Mom!!!!!!!!!!!  Don’t tell me you put that picture in the blog!!  The doctor’s office took that after they treated my ears.  I look awful.  I hate those helicopter ears.

Dishwashing Hemingway

I was cute…….even when I was in trouble.

Baby Steinbeck

This was the picture Mom first saw of me on the Humane Society site.  She knew she had to adopt me and I’m glad she did.

Hemingway and Ebony April 2010This was my “bestest” friend when I first started living with Mom.  Old Ebony was a kind old dog who helped show me the tricks of getting the best treats.  I miss Ebony.

Birthday Boy

This was me when I was first starting to learn about going outside.  I wasn’t very brave at first.

Well, we hope you all enjoyed the stroll down Memory Lane.  We’re going to go look for some of Mom’s baby pictures now so we can post them.  MOL!!!!

Mom Put Me in Jail~~~

imageedit_3_4830874577

Yep.  Here I am in jail.  Actually, I’m trapped between the two doors.   I don’t know why Mom did that.  I’m giving her the evil eye ‘cuz instead of letting me out, she’s got that flashy box thing out.  Stop it, Mom!!!

imageedit_5_7339306753

Mom……that’s enough.  Hemingway is laughing at me.  Don’t you dare put these pictures on our blog.  I forbid it!!!

Note from the Mom:  I must admit that I laughed when I came back by the door again.  I had just gotten home from choir practice and of course the boys were right at the door to greet me.  I thought I got both of them out of the way, but after putting some stuff away, when I came back into the room, there was Steinbeck, between the doors.  Rather than let him out right away, I confess that I did go get the “flashy box”.  It was too priceless.  Here are some pictures of their outdoor fun this week.

Hemingway, why are you staring at the dirt?

Because I can.

imageedit_10_6532948300

Hemingway, why don’t you get up and practice your stalking like me?

Because I don’t want to.

Hemingway, look at how pretty my tail looks in the grass.

So?

And Mom calls me Crabby Pants????

Rebranding

imageedit_1_6141723670

Do do doodle dooo……..I think I’m going to “rebrand” myself as a lion.

imageedit_1_2339585829

Steinbeck, what on earth are you doing now?  What’s this talk about rebranding?  Where did you hear that?

imageedit_1_7442998368

Look……………this makes me look like a lion.  The rebranding worked!

imageedit_8_9965602923

Well, I look like a jungle cat here and I didn’t have to go through any “rebranding” stuff.  I just sat out in the bushes.  I still have no idea what you’re talking about.

Don’t you ever listen to Mom?  She’s been talking about all the “rebranding” they’re doing at work.

Oh, do you mean when her company changed their name?

That’s it.

She did say she was getting confused when she answers the phone, but that happens all the time.  I don’t think she was talking about “rebranding” us, though.

Maybe not, but at least I’m ready!   RRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Visitors All Over the Place

We’ve been having some lovely weather lately and Mom’s been letting us go outside with her.

She even found us some humongous, really big catnip leaves to enjoy.

imageedit_13_3676970738

Actually, I was a little more interested in my food dish.  Mom interrupted my supper with the chance to go outside.  I ran out quickly to see if there was anything interesting.  Then I figured it was best for me to get back in the house so I could eat Steinbeck’s food.

imageedit_11_5543563071

Hemingway……..you stay away from my food!  I planned on eating that later.  Notice that I have a very determined walk…….and a rather stern look on my face?  Hemingway……I mean it.  That food is mine.

It’s a good thing we both went back inside because before long we had visitors.  Our “cousins” all came over.

There was Stella the Goofy Newfie.

imageedit_17_9083713747

Who me???

Then there was Static the old man.

imageedit_1_5970290988

Who are you calling old???

Then there was this new guy they called Sunny.  Well, it might be Sonny.  Mom forgot to ask!

imageedit_9_9807392343

Sure, I’m the new guy but I’m really cute and I have lots and lots of energy!

imageedit_15_2042022179

Stella had to show that her black furs show off all the dirt……..just like Hemingway.

imageedit_5_8854423258

Sunny likes to cuddle.

imageedit_3_2781750243

And Stella likes to stick her tongue out.

imageedit_7_7602292280

Steinbeck stayed hidden while our cousins were visiting, but I was curious so I went right to the door and looked out at Sunny.  He wanted me to come out and play but everyone said I had to stay in the house.  He’s real new and they didn’t want him scaring me.

So, our quiet evening got pretty rowdy and now we’re all ready to go to sleep.  Hey….our cousins didn’t get into our catnip, did they????
