Oh boy……we haven’t joined our friends at the Blue Kitty House for a long time.
Steinbeck, it’s the Kitties Blue.
Are they all blue?
Just explain your selfie to the readers.
OK. This was taken to prove to Mom that my ears were clean. MOL!!! Of course my messy bib shows, too. Mom is always combing and brushing my bib but somehow I manage to mess it up rather quickly. Anyway we wanted to join our friends today so don’t forget to stop and say hi to them, too.
Mom was really surprised today. She looked and there I was all curled up in Steinbeck’s bed. She was so happy that both of her boys liked the bed. She’s taught us to share so we both don’t try and sleep in it at the same time……….YET!!!
Mom decided I could be the star for this week’s Caturday Art so here we go:
Here’s the picture she started with:
Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to get back to my nap. Have a great day, everyone!!! Oh, and don’t forget to check out our other friends on the Caturday Art Blog Hop.
Steinbeck………..did you look at the calendar?
Well, today is the first day of fall.
Did you say Mom fell???
No. Get the catnip out of your ears. I said today is the first day of fall. Remember how the trees change their clothes and put on lots of pretty colors?
Oh, like in this picture Mom took a couple years ago when I was really little?
Yep, that’s fall.
So when the trees shake off all their leaves, does that mean the next season is Fell?
We’re so excited!
Mom said we could do Caturday Art today and we could each do one.
Me first ‘cuz you already got to practice yesterday.
I think I look pretty cool here. Maybe I should show you the original.
Yep, I’m still looking pretty cool. MOL!!!
My turn. My turn.
I was outside talking to Mr. Outside Cat and we came up with this design. Here’s my original photo. I’m handsome no matter what! MOL!!
Mom was so happy to get a picture of me with my eyes open. Usually I shut them when she shows up with the flashy box.
We’ve got lots of friends doing the Caturday Art Blog Hop so please check them out.
Someone (whose name starts and ends with an “M” and has an “O” in the middle, has made us miss all sorts of Caturday Art times.
We decided to protest tonight and we told her we needed to practice.
So, she let us practice on this picture of Steinbeck in his bed. I didn’t want my picture up there ‘cuz I’ve put on some extra furs and I didn’t want people thinking I was big.
But you are big, Hemingway!
Enough. Here’s the picture you might remember from our last blog:
Now here’s what we created (with a little help):
Steinbeck, have you ever thought of dying your furs like that??? I really like you with blue whiskers and blue ear fur. MOL!!!!
Look what my little brother did most of the day:
So what are you saying? Mom got me this new bed so I’m supposed to sleep in it.
Why not? Look at how beautiful my furs look against the sparkly blue. It makes my gingerness look gorgeous.
The only reason you are in that bed is ‘cuz you stayed out in the back yard too long last night and Mom got mad at you. And then you got really tired.
I told her I was busy counting the flowers. Look at all I found.
There was this pretty vine by the honeysuckle.
Look at that. It’s red.
And look what was growing on the honeysuckle. Isn’t it pretty? It would be fun to bat around on the sidewalk.
And it’s red.
Then here’s some grrrrrrrrrrrrraniums.
Once again, they are red.
Then there’s this pretty flower I found by one of my hidey places.
Amazing. It’s red.
And then I found this one also by my hidey place.
Hey………..it’s not red. How did you manage to find that one? So, what was your excuse to Mom for staying out so late.
I told you. I told her I was counting flowers.
Only the red ones?
They were easier to see in the dark. I really had to strain my eyes to count that black piece of tuna.
Steinbeck, I don’t appreciate you staying out late ‘cuz Mom gets worried and then both of us have to stay inside.
But I wanted to count flowers………………
