Mom did it again.
She used one of those human phrases so we decided to show you what she said.
AND
Know what it is yet?
Can I tell them? Oh please let me tell them. I really want to tell them….
Go ahead.
We’re Bright-Eyed and Bushy Tailed!!

This is my aloof pose!
This is the painting “Grandma” did many years ago.
This is Angel Shakespeare.
From the Mom: Many, many years ago my mother painted that picture of a cat. Somehow she knew that I would have not one, but two of those beautiful long-haired gingers to love. I used to think her painting looked a lot like Shakespeare, but now I think it looks even more like Steinbeck. It’s just more affirmation for me that Steinbeck was supposed to come live with me!
Hey everyone! I actually ventured outside for a few seconds today and took my picture. I didn’t want to face the camera ‘cuz I didn’t want you to see my teeth chattering. Even though the sun is shining, the air is cold. My furs and paws don’t like it! I came back inside to take a nap in a sun puddle.

Mom kept telling us that this was Election Day and we should go vote. Well, if it’s today, why did she vote last Saturday? She just went off to work this morning and said, “Bye. Be good and don’t forget to vote.”
Mr Mouse, this was my first election day and I was scared. I thought I would vote for the wrong thing. They shouldn’t make us young kittens vote on important stuff. I just pray I did the right thing! I can tell you that I voted for free catnip for all the kittens and cats in our country. I also voted for good homes for all the fur people so nobody is hungry or cold. Then I voted for an extra treat tonight. 🙂
Mr. Mouse, I’ve been through this before but I had to help the little one. He was scared to put any marks on the ballot. I think he did pretty good so he shouldn’t worry. I voted for a little free time for myself. I also voted for daycare for kittens so we adult cats don’t have to kittensit them all the time while our humans work. I also voted for extra treats!
Yes, Mr. Mouse. We did our duty….
…..and so did Mom!
I’m just relaxing today and waiting for the football game to start. Then I might have to hide. Mom tends to start shouting when she gets excited or upset when watching the game. I don’t get it so I Just let her be. I’m guessing it’s a human thing.

Hemingway, when I close my eyes I start thinking about all sorts of things. For instance, have you ever wondered why they call today Thursday?
I can’t really say that the question has kept me from sleep! What made you start thinking of that?
Well, you know my little kitten brain is always picking up new things….
….you mean strange things….
Are you going to let me talk?
Go ahead……yawn….
Now, I have a couple of ideas on why this day is called Thursday. First of all, I think the humans were saying “This Here Day” and they started getting sloppy with the way they pronounced it and eventually it became Thursday.
Hate to say it but you might be on to something there.
My other idea is that it was supposed to be called “Thirsty Day” and once again the humans got sloppy and “ta da”……….it became Thursday.
Little one, I must admit you do some creative thinking. Now will you leave me alone so I can take a nap?
Mom brought in a new plant for me. Hemingway told me that when it starts getting cold outside she starts bringing in some plants and we get to prune them.
I did not say that! We are supposed to stay away from them.
Well, I find it rather interesting to explore these new toys.
Steinbeck, Mom sees you!
Hemingway, I have another question. What happened to all the trees outside? Did all the rain make them rust? Why aren’t they green?
It’s fall, Steinbeck. The leaves around here change color in the fall.
I think they should be that color all the time.
I watched Mom taking this picture in the back yard when she got home from work. She said it would make a good jigsaw puzzle.
What’s that?
Well, the biggest puzzle in this house is you!!! MOL!!!
Mom…..I think Hemingway is being mean.
