Caturday Winter Art

Hi, Readers!  Mom’s home today and now she’s seeing what our days are like.  We play hard in the morning and then we nap.  Mom caught me with one of the toys that I had pulled out of the toy box.  She thought I looked so cute.  Then she used LunaPic to change it and make it all arty.  She did all this while I continued to sleep.  Steinbeck was sleeping way up on top of the computer desk so he wasn’t even bothering me………for a change!  I hope you enjoy the picture.

Here’s the original one:

Saturday Play

Here’s how she changed it:

Sleepy Selfie Sunday

Hey everyone!  it’s time for the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop with our friends.

This is supposed to be Labor Day Weekend, but we think Mom considers it napping weekend.  She’s sure not doing that much labor!

She’s been out in her hammock reading.  At least she let us come outside, too.

When Steinbeck grabbed the flashy box when I was trying to take a nap, I got kind of upset.

I wanted to get a picture of you in a goofy pose.

Look who’s talking!

Well, we hope everyone is having a delightful weekend!

Gotcha!

The Pose Small

Mom discovered something this morning when she was looking at her face in a book.

Steinbeck, that’s Facebook.

Whatever.  She discovered that today is my one year Gotcha Anniversary!!!

You mean I’ve had to put up with you for a whole year already?

Yep!  And you love me!

Mom said I could share some of my baby pictures.

This was the picture they took of me the first time I visited the doctor’s house.  I told Mom to have them take another picture!  Look at my helicopter ears!!!

This is me exploring the doghouse that Mom’s brother made for her work.  Hemingway and I share it.

This is me sleeping.  I did a lot of it when I was little.

In fact, I still do.

This is me exploring what Hemingway says is a kitty washing machine.

From the Mom:  Hemingway, don’t lie to your little brother.  I would never use that to wash either one of you.  We use that only for the dishes.  No kitties!

Here I am eating with my big brother.  Hemingway looks really really big here.  Mom said she was glad we became good friends so fast.  If you notice, I am protecting my food in case Hemingway dared to take a bite.

Here I am playing with my big brother, Hemingway.  He’s still bigger than me, but I’m trying to catch up as fast as I can.

Mom, I just want to thank you for “gotcha’ing” me.  I’m so glad you came to the Humane Society to adopt me.  I just knew we would be the bestest buddies.  Thank you for adopting my big brother, too.

Mom, you made my life special!

Ginger Deja Vu

I find it rather interesting that Steinbeck often shows so many characteristics of Angel Shakespeare.  Of course Steinbeck is very much his own cat, but every now and then a little Shakespeare comes out.  I love it!

Here’s an example.  Both of them selected the top of the computer desk as one of their favorite spots for watching the world and napping.

Here’s Angel Shakespeare taking a nap:

Now here’s Steinbeck in the same spot:

Computer Cat

Hemingway likes to get up there, too.  However, he doesn’t do the “ginger pose”.  He has his own way of sitting up there.
