The Boys Being Good

US?????????????  We’ve been really good today.

Well, we did play one little trick on Mom.

We knew she had to go to work early today and we also knew she was really tired when she went to bed last night.

We don’t always join her right away ‘cuz we have to patrol the house and make sure everything is ok.

And you have to bring all sorts of toys into her room.

I think her gentle purring helps calm the toys down.  Sometimes they get afraid of the dark.

Hemingway, you’ve been hanging around me too much and your thinking is sounding like mine.

Anyway, Mom actually heard her alarm clock go off this morning!

We didn’t wake her up ‘cuz we didn’t even go in her room

Poor Mom.  She was so confused and couldn’t figure out what that noise was. We were in the hallway giggling.

She thought we were both sick ‘cuz we NEVER wait for breakfast but this morning we did.

Mom told us that she was confused all day.  MOL!!!  Readers, we have to warn you not to tell Mom what we did and why we did it.  We don’t want Santa Paws finding out about it.

Santa Paws?  Is he that big fat red kitty who brings us catnip and toys?  Is he coming here again????  I thought the turkey was coming first.

The turkey is coming first, but Santa Paws will be here before you know it.

Oh great!  You helped me be naughty.  Way to go Big Brother!

Mom’s Office Stuff

Mom brought home some pictures for us to see.

She spends all day at this place called “the office” and we wanted to see what it was like.

We are beginning to understand why she goes there!

This is part of Mom's office where they decorated it as a Charlie Brown Christmas!

Now we’re both going to take naps to recover from all the excitement.  We hope all of our blogging humans and fur people had a wonderful Christmas.  Rejoice in the reason for the season.

Look….

Come Look

Shakespeare, come look at this!

Look

What am I supposed to be looking at?

See all those birdies and squirrelies out there eating the seed Mom put out for them?

So………….?

Well, if Santa Paws comes now, he might scare them and they’ll start flapping wings and twitching furry tails and making all sorts of noise and then Santa Paws will get scared and forget to leave our toys and treats.

I hadn’t thought about that.  I wonder if Mom should bring the seed and nuts inside until after Santa Paws has been here?

Maybe we should go talk this over with her.

I’m so glad I have a big brother who notices things like this.

What a Party!!!!

Mom had a wonderful party for me.  Yesterday was my birthday so now I’m three years and one day old.  I shared my special day with Shakespeare ‘cuz we were also celebrating Christmas.

Santa Paws left us so many wonderful things.  We got toys and treats and mice and treats and catnip and treats and……

We get the idea, Shakespeare.  Anyway, Mom said we didn’t have to write much today ‘cuz the pictures would say everything.  We hope you enjoy them.

Mom……..do we get to have  a New Year’s Eve party?

Do we get to stay up late and eat treats at midnight?

It’s a Wonderful Life

We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas.

We sure did!

Yes, Santa Paws was very good to both of us and the Birthday Kitty was really good to me.  I got new toys and lots of treats.

Mom told us we have to share the treats, Hemingway!

I know, but then when your birthday comes, we have to share your birthday treats too.

I will.  Let’s show the readers how we celebrated.

Thanks for all the birthday greetings, everyone!  They mean so much to me.  I’m glad you have become my friends.

Happy Birthday to Me and Merry Christmas to You!

This is my special day.  I am now three years old so I’m very wise!

Hemingway 9 Weeks Old

This was me when Mom first got me.  I was only 9 weeks old in this picture.

This is me now.  I grew and grew and grew!

Mom got me a neat new water fountain for my birthday.  I had to check it out right away while Shakespeare was sleeping.  I quickly learned that if I splash the water out, then it makes gurgling sounds when the bowl fills up again.  COOL!!!!

My Toys

Hemingway, Mom said we should remember to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas

Yes.  Even though it’s my birthday today, I know that it’s Christmas tomorrow and both of us hope that all our friends have a wonderful time with their humans and fur people.  Thanks so much for joining us this past year.  We hope to see you again next year!

Let’s go check and see if Santa Paws is in the neighborhood yet.  I sure hope he brings us some treats!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Come Look……..

Hemingway, I think Santa Paws might have already been here and left something under this rug.  I’m going to check a little further and see if I can find something.

Under the Rug

Shakespeare, you’re so goofy.  Santa Paws isn’t going to leave something under the rug.  He’s going to leave something by this deer with all the lights.  I’m going to have the deer tell me as soon as Santa Paws arrives.

Hemingway and deer

Maybe if we both watch different spots then we’ll be sure to know when Santa Paws arrives!  Mom……….how many more days?????
