Hemingway, this is my first 4th of July with you and Mom. I’m so glad I’m here where I feel safe.
We have lots of humans and service animals to thank for our freedom. We need to raise our paws in the air and salute them for all the work they do.
And while our paws are up, we should pray for their safety.
We’re sending glitter to all the service humans and animals who have fought for our country……and for those who continue to fight and will fight in the future. You’re very sparkly in our eyes!
Hemingway, you missed a spot. Don’t worry, I’ll get it for you. We must look bright and shiny for the Fourth!
From the Mom………It seems the boys are sleeping now. Luckily they don’t have to be outside listening to all the boomers tonight. We all wish our readers a safe and happy Fourth. May the fur people find a safe place so the boomers don’t scare them.
Hemingway, can you explain to me again what Memorial Day is? I know Mom gets the day off from work but it has to be lots more than that.
Oh yes, it’s lots more than that. On this day humans make it a point to stop and honor all the men and women who have served in the armed forces. It’s those brave humans who help to keep this country free. If it wasn’t for them, maybe Mom wouldn’t be living here and maybe she wouldn’t have adopted us. Even fur people help keep this country free and we need to honor them as well. They give up so much so we can have freedom. We really need to celebrate and honor them EVERY DAY.
Thanks, Hemingway. Next year I’ll know what’s going on!!
Happy Memorial Day and a HUGE THANKS to all of our service humans and fur people who have served, are serving, and will serve to keep our country free. We love you!
Mom said we have to be serious today. Shakespeare, do you think you can handle that?
Shakespeare, today is the day we honor all the humans fur people who have fought and served for our country.
We fight, does that mean we’re getting honored?
Shakespeare, I told you this was serious. All the service humans and service fur people have fought over the years for our freedom. Because of them, Mom lives in a free country and she was able to adopt us and take care of us.
That also means we get treats and food, doesn’t it?
Today we all want to honor the service humans who have served, are serving and will serve for our country.
We also want to send lots of purrs and soft paw fats to the service fur people. They are awesome!
