Steinbeck’s first visit to the family vet.
Mom told me we were going for a ride. The last time I rode with her, she was bringing me to my furever home. I rode in a cardboard box, and I “sang” the whole way home. This time I got to ride in a soft carrier. However, I still “sang”.
Mom fixed up a little slide show of me at the Doctor Lady’s house. Everyone said I was adorable and that I did real good. I weigh a whopping 2 pounds 3 ounces!! What’s a whopping????
I sure got held by lots of people! I think they did that to keep me from “singing”. Mom said I did lots and lots of that!
Mom……….you won’t believe what they did to me back there! They cleaned out my ears!!! Please don’t make me go back there again.
This is the nice lady at the front desk. She knows Hemingway and she knew Shakespeare and even some other cats Mom used to have. She told me I was adorable. I guess I am!
Mom….do I get a treat for being good? Will you help me dry off my fur where it got wet? I want to go home now and see Hemingway.

The Doctor Lady gave me a treat ‘cuz I was so good. But….know what she did? She thought it was too big for me so she broke it into pieces. I grabbed the biggest piece! 🙂

Oh goodness Steinbeck you must be the cutest kitten ever. Fancy having the Doctor Lady giving you treats we’d never heard of any Lady Doctors doing that before.
He seems to make everyone go awwwwwwww. I think he’s going to be spoiled. MOL!
What a brave kitty you were, S. The doctor’s house has a MILLION unexpected activities for us fur kids. And no matter how much you sing the song of your people, you will still go back there now and then. On the upside, sometimes they give treats.

Well there will be more of those in your future Steinbeck but since you already have those vet peeps wrapped around your paws since you’re so CUTE, you won’t have any problems. It’s good they cleaned your little ears – now you’re all fixed up. I bet Hemingway was happy to see you back home too…..even though he might not TELL you that!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw What a cutey. Sorry you had to go to da VET. I’s know all ’bout dat. They are pawful, demons I’s tell ya’. I’s told mommy I’s never wanna go back there again. I’s couldn’t wait to get home and tell sis Dezi all ’bout how they tried to kill me at dat last visit. Beware!!! Da mommy’s gonna take you back there several times, and da last time…well, just have your teefies and claws ready. Dat’s all I’s can say.

Oh you poor thing. Mommy had warned me, but fankfully they didn’t take mines tempurrture. Altho’ it’s really embarrassin’ mommy takes it here a home in purrivate. Hope you don’t have to go thru dat again.
