Guess What I Did???

Steinbeck’s first visit to the family vet.

Mom told me we were going for a ride.  The last time I rode with her, she was bringing me to my furever home.  I rode in a cardboard box, and I “sang” the whole way home.  This time I got to ride in a soft carrier.  However, I still “sang”.

Mom fixed up a little slide show of me at the Doctor Lady’s house.  Everyone said I was adorable and that I did real good.  I weigh a whopping 2 pounds 3 ounces!!  What’s a whopping????

I sure got held by lots of people!  I think they did that to keep me from “singing”.  Mom said I did lots and lots of that!

Mom……….you won’t believe what they did to me back there!  They cleaned out my ears!!!  Please don’t make me go back there again.

This is the nice lady at the front desk.  She knows Hemingway and she knew Shakespeare and even some other cats Mom used to have.  She told me I was adorable.  I guess I am!

Mom….do I get a treat for being good?  Will you help me dry off my fur where it got wet?  I want to go home now and see Hemingway.

  1. Steinbeck, you are adorable and obviously very personable. Looks like you survived that first vet visit. Good job! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. Steinbeck, you were excellent. The vet’s house is a dreaded place but you behaved like an old pro. Did Hemingway tell you what was going to happen?
Way to go. Have a great snooze now. You can feel proud of yourself.

  3. Oh goodness Steinbeck you must be the cutest kitten ever. Fancy having the Doctor Lady giving you treats we’d never heard of any Lady Doctors doing that before.

  4. What a brave kitty you were, S. The doctor’s house has a MILLION unexpected activities for us fur kids. And no matter how much you sing the song of your people, you will still go back there now and then. On the upside, sometimes they give treats.

    Love and licks,

  5. Your first checkup huh? Well there will be more of those in your future Steinbeck but since you already have those vet peeps wrapped around your paws since you’re so CUTE, you won’t have any problems. It’s good they cleaned your little ears – now you’re all fixed up. I bet Hemingway was happy to see you back home too…..even though he might not TELL you that!

    Hugs, Sammy

  6. So you sang the song of your people all the way to the stabby place. We are impressed. Now that you’re all checked out you can start enjoying your new home. Bring on the treats!
