We’re Exhausted

Have you missed us?  We’ve been gone a really long time. We’ve been busy playing outside, eating catnip, chasing flying things, watching raindrops on the windows, patiently waiting for our meals, spreading our toys all over the house………

Stop, Hemingway!!!  You’re wearing me out.  Can’t  you just imagine what you’re doing to our readers?

Well, I didn’t want it to seem like it’s all Mom’s fault that we’ve been gone so long.

But it is mostly her fault.  It all started when she got older.  She couldn’t even stay home when she got older.  She had to take one of those road trips and leave us to celebrate her birthday on our own.

But she came back home and she spent some time with us since she took a couple extra days off.

Little did she know that she was going to be spending LOTS of time with us.

Shortly after her birthday, Mom came home a little early from work but she didn’t have a happy face.

We knew right away that something was wrong.

Mom sat us down and explained that her company former company had eliminated her position and she was out of a job.  She was really mad at first and really, really hurt.  We tried our best to take care of her and cheer her up.

So Mom’s been looking for another job and doing some writing on some book ideas she has.  That’s why she hasn’t been able to help us with our blog.  We’ve missed our readers.

Steinbeck, Mom figures that God still wants to her to use the skills, talents and abilities that He gave her so she knows He has something for her.  In the meantime she said she’s busy jumping through all the hoops for unemployment.

I haven’t seen any hoops lying around at all.  Does she keep them in the garage? I might like to jump through hoops.  Then again, I might not…….but I should get the chance…..

Steinbeck, sometimes it’s so hard to carry on a conversation with you.

I’m telling Mom that  you’re being mean again, Hemingway.

Quit whining and keep looking on the puter for a new job for Mom.  Do you think she would like to be a tree trimmer?
